Hong Niu

Hi! My name is Hong, and I am a 5th year PhD candidate in Biostatistics at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, co-advised by Prof. Didong Li and Prof. Michael R. Kosorok. My research focuses on studying AI methodology for public health.

Before UNC, I was an undergraduate at Duke University (Class of 2018), majoring in math and computer science. Outside of research, I enjoy playing soccer and spending time with friends :)

I expect to graduate in Spring 2027, and am interested in pursuing further opportunities in the intersection of AI and biomedical/epidemiological applications.
